Treatment Approach

At tEDPC in accordance with our values we embrace each person’s unique journey with kindness, acceptance, and compassion. We aim to support you in nourishing your mind and improving self-worth and body image. We take a holistic, individualised approach informed by evidence-based practice. All our psychologists use a Health at Every Size (HAES) non-diet approach.

We are trained and experienced in a range of evidence-based eating disorder treatments and models. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Enhanced (CBT-E)

  • Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM)

  • Maudsley Model of Anorexia Treatment in Adults (MANTRA)

  • Adolescent and Parent Treatment (APT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR)

  • Intuitive Eating

Where indicated, our therapy approach is often integrated with other modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Based Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing.
